About 15 years ago I started exploring local parks, trails, nearby woodlands, and meadows. I was always happy to be surprised by a visiting butterfly, calmed by the quiet of a forest path, and energized by the activity in a grassy field. So, of course I had to photograph everything I saw!!
The journey that followed carried me across the Garden State to some incredible locations, challenged me to become a diligent observer of wildlife and learn about native habitat, and guided me to appreciate the natural beauty all around. I’ve discovered so much, had so many cool experiences, and continued to feel more in tune with the local environment. I eventually even began planning trips to locate species I never thought I’d find!!
Each photo on this website is a moment remembered; an image of a wild butterfly that drew me in over the years. I’m so proud to share my experiences with these incredible pollinators and can’t wait to locate the one’s I’ve never seen before.
When I open up to the innocence and simplicity in the moment, the feeling of joy within when I see a butterfly, it contributes to inner strength and a meaningful push forward. This helps me embrace the clarity brought by finding what truly matters in my life.
I encourage anyone who visits this page to go out on a treasure hunt of your own, searching for these beautiful species. You will find many other happinesses along the way.
